2 Simple at home exercises you could do to help strengthen your back.

Cat and Camel 

  1. Go to the ground and get on your hands and knees.
  2. Make sure your hands are aligned with your shoulders and your knees are under your hips and your back is in a neutral position.
  3. Sink your back down towards the floor and lift your head up at the same time, sticking your tailbone out to make a curve with your spine. 
  4. Take a big breath out at the same time.
  5. Tuck your head and tailbone in, arching through your spine to mimic a camel hump.
  6. Take a big breath in at the same time. 
  7. Perform 1 to 2 times daily. 

 

Cobra Stretch

  1. Lie down on your belly.
  2. Place your palms on the ground beneth your shoulders.
  3. Lift your chest off the ground by straightening your arms.
  4. Gaze upwards keeping your pelvis and legs on the floor, hold the position for about 15 to 30 seconds.
  5. To release, drop your head to the flood and lower your body by using your arms.
